Yes! Although we would like you to make an appointment, so we can set an appropriate amount of time with you. You are more than welcome to come in, get information, fill out a referral, meet with someone, or just say "hi".
The frequency of services depends on the individual and their goals. It is your wellness and recovery, so you choose how much or how little we meet. You can meet once or twice a week, once every two weeks, or minimally every month. We do suggest a minimum of bi-weekly to achieve your necessary goals.
A non-clinical service is a service provided by someone who is NOT a licensed clinician. We do not diagnose, prescribe medication, or create your treatment plans. Non-Clinical Peer Case Management is conducted by Certified Peer Recovery Specialists (CPRS) and/or Certified Recovery Support Practitioners who have personal lived experience with mental illness and/or substance use disorder. They have been trained and certified to be able to use their personal experience and knowledge to provide, hope, guidance and understanding of your situation, so that you too can find your own wellness and recovery.
Peer Support is mutual respect based relationship. Services typically include check-ins (not always by the same peer) and will provide general information/resources, and basic communicative support. Peer Support does not build from session to session.
Peer Case Management is an on-going mutual respect based relationship in which goals and barriers are developed to either achieve or overcome with the same peer. Case Management builds from one session to the next to move in a certain direction and gain self-sufficiency in your own wellness and recovery journey. Peer Case Management includes: developing goals, identifying barriers, develop coping skills and strategies, advocacy with providers, direct referrals, and education.
